About the author

A long sojourn in southern California led me to appreciate the history and culture of the Mexican border communities. A dear friend introduced me to the concept of resilience. During my life I listened to stories of violence, abuse and grief, and cared for the survivors. In my sunset years I have found time to write, as an opportunity to honor their exceptional stories.
